Thank you very much for your support of the 5th Annual Building Homes for Heroes Golf Classic at the Hempstead Golf and Country Club. The event was a tremendous success! I’d like to express my gratitude for all of your support and generosity. You’re truly making a difference. We’re very proud to announce that the golf outing and dinner raised over $68,000 for the severely wounded men and women of the military.
Among the highlights of the evening was hearing from Matt and Mary Lammers. While Mary has been a regular at our events since the onset of our organization, her husband, a triple amputee, was joining us for the first time. Mary and Matt were married just a few days prior to the outing. Also addressing the audience were Army SSG William Castillo and Army SSG Josh Forbess. As is customary at our events, SSG Forbess presented The Fallen Comrade table, a ceremony which recognizes all of those who lost their lives while serving the country. We also heard from 9-year old Andrea Castillo who thanked Building Homes for Heroes and all of those who attended the outing for helping her family. The ceremony was capped off by a stirring performance by the NYPD Pipe and Drum band.

I would like to provide a very special thank you to the members of our golf outing steering committee; Bill Schiffer, Joe Liana, Tom Yazzo and Bobby Carpenter for all they did to make this event our best yet, and to the staff and members of the Hempstead Golf and Country Club.
Thank you for all of your support and friendship.
Respectfully,
Andy Pujol |
